Please read this if you were at the GIRDWOOD FOREST FAIR July 8th

Valerie's family and police investigators are following up on an UNCONFIRMED lead that Valerie Sifsof was possibly seen at the Girdwood Forest Fair on Sunday, July 8th. If you or someone you know was at the faire, please look at the photo at the top of this website: Valerie would likely have been wearing these clothes: Blue hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, black rainboots, green shirt. If you took photos or video during the weekend please look closely to see if you can spot her in the background. If you can confirm the sighting or have any suspicious activity to report, please contact the Alaska State Troopers immediately at: 907-783-0972.

Thanks to the many who are still continuing to help in any way possible, Meg and Hugh Schroeder, Mickey and Helen Foster, Kurt Jensen, Marie Matsuno Nash and the many who offered help or equipment.    Thanks to the many who were on the organized search, we don't have all the names, -but you know who you are, thanks from the bottom of our hearts.  Please continue to offer your prayers for the family and friends, searchers for stamina, strength and safety for all.

25,000 REWARD FUND ESTABLISHED IN VALERIE SIFSOF CASE

$25,000 Reward Fund Established in Valerie Sifsof Case
Friends and Family of Valerie Sifsof have established a $25,000 reward fund, being administered by Victims for Justice, at First National Bank Alaska.  The reward is for information leading to the safe recovery of Ms. Sifsof, and/or the arrest and conviction of persons responsible for her disappearance. 
An additional cash reward of up to $1000 is offered through Crime Stoppers for tips that lead to the arrest of a felony crime suspect.  Tips may be called in to APD at 786-8900, or submitted anonymously at 561-STOP, or at Crime Stoppers secure website at www.anchoragecrimestoppers.com.
Anyone interested in contributing to the Valerie Sifsof Reward Fund can do so through

2. JOIN IN THE SEARCH: The Sifsof family has moved their staging area to the Ingrim Creek pullout at mile 75 of the Seward Highway. If you are coming from Anchorage, go past Girdwood and continue on about 15 plus miles: they are just before the "Welcome to the Kenai" sign, and approximately ten miles North of the Granite Creek Campground where Valerie was last seen. They have their own sign out on the highway. 


3. OTHER SUPPORT: If you or your organization would like to help lead a team who could go out to posting flyers, or bring food to the searchers, all support is much appreciated. The search will continue until posted otherwise here. 

3. SPREAD THE WORD: PLEASE PUT FLYERS UP ALL AROUND ALASKA AND SOCIAL MEDIA!

Victor, Jane, Jim, Trina, Ashley, VG and Casey, Bryan and Nadia and Eliot would like to thank the many volunteers, searchers, family and friends for their prayers and help in the search efforts for Valerie.  They would like to thank the Troopers, Park Service, the helicopter pilot, the dogs and their handlers, rafters and those who searched  on foot and with the atv's tirelessly on cold, wet and windy days and for those we didn't know who came to help.  Many took time off from their work to help us.


Gratitude to those who brought their motor homes, The Willis', Luanne Pelagio, Dennis and Michelle Nelson, Wally Charles, Danesa and Hans Nicholson, Bill and Helena Batman,  Thanks to those who provided hot food each evening, especially the fresh red salmon.  And to  all who provided food, snacks, beverages and water, supplies, equipment and funds for gas and other necessities.  Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.

Granite Creek Campground: This is Where Valerie Sifsof Was Last Seen



Valerie Sifsof was camping with her boyfriend, Eliot Freeburg, on the evening of July 7th at the Granite Creek Campground, 27 miles South of Girdwoood, Alaska. They had an argument and she walked away from the campsite around midnight (it was still light outside.) She never returned. If you were in the area or camping at Granite Creek that weekend please contact the Alaska State Trooper in Girdwood, Alaska at (907) 783-0972 or the Alaska Bureau of Investigation: 1-907-269-5497.
